DOT MEMBER STANDING RULES 1) No member shall be compensated for participation at any club event including but not limited to AKC sanctioned events. 2) Show Chairman cannot personally show dogs at any DOT AKC sanctioned event. 3) In order to be eligible for end of the year awards, members within a fifty-mile radius must attend three meetings OR help with two club events and members outside fifty-mile radius must attend one meeting OR must assist in one event OR aid financially toward one event. 4) In order to be eligible for member discounts for club activities such as agility or conformation classes, members within a fifty-mile radius must attend three meetings OR help with two club events and members outside the fifty-mile radius must attend one meeting OR must assist in one event OR aid financially toward one event. 5) General membership must meet the following requirements: (a) attend two meetings per calendar year; and (b) participate in two club activities per calendar year. 6) New members joining the club, and paying a full year’s annual dues upon application and approval of membership after October 1st will be exempt from paying dues for the following year. 7) Those applying for associate membership must submit an application for approval by the general membership. As with general membership, each applicant must be sponsored by two club members in good standing, and the application must be accompanied by current annual dues. Because the associate membership is provided as an option for those who cannot regularly attend meetings but wish to support the club, applicants for associate membership are not required to attend two meetings prior to club approval of membership. 8)
