DOT meeting Dec. 4, 2008 at Dickey’s home
Meeting called to order at 7 pm by
president Marcia Givens.
Motion to accept minutes of November meeting as published made by Mary
Szafranski, seconded by Mary Switzer, and approved.
President’s report- Thank you to all who helped make the 2008 DOT specialty a
success. Club has received several thank you notes and positive comments.
Next meeting has been confirmed for Jan. 8, 2009, at Companion Dog Training ctr.
4411 So. 91 E. Ave. Dogs are welcome with members.
Combined Specialty will be looking at different date for 2009 show, more info to
follow.
Treasurer’s report was sent in separate email by Shirley Schillinger(unable to
attend meeting tonight).
Parade report- Jenks parade was great! Passing out stuffed animals was a
success. Decorated golf cart was a great addition for riders.
“Dalentine” party in February –Mary Szafranski asked for opinions on dates: Feb.
5 vs. Feb. 7- members voted on Thursday Feb. 5 as preferred date. Dinner at 6
pm- If menu can be chosen for ~$30 then club will pay for half of each member’s
dinner.
If any member has an award coming
for a dog title or accomplishment this year please let a board member know as
soon as possible.
Also send in writing, nominations
for member of the year to president or secretary. Board will be considering
awards for accomplishments other than conformation or obedience titles.
