President’s report- Our Dot specialty will be in Joplin at end of Oct. 2009 with combined specialties. Thanks to all attending and supporting DOT this year. Thanks to Shirley Schillinger who found red and blue matching dog sweaters for next Christmas parade. The parade will be using the golf cart for non-walkers and puppies from club and also possibly the Shriner firetruck.

Secretary’s report- Melanie Dickey read minutes from Feb. 5, 2009 Awards dinner and meeting. Motion made by Shirley Schillinger to approve minutes as read and published, seconded by James Wylie, and approved by vote.

Old business- Chair-back missed at awards dinner presented to Melanie Dickey and George for Givens Chevy Let’s Go Giorgio RN CGC TDI.

New business-there was general discussion of membership rules and responsibilities. Copies of DOT Constitution and bylaws provided and articles 5, section 1 and 2, as well as article 6 reviewed.  Consensus decision of membership present that officers and chairs of committees and appointed positions for DOT need to be members in good standing and able to report regularly to the board and the club at large. Other clubs have distinction between associate vs. full memberships. DOT has single/ family memberships with notification of member in good standing requirements upon membership application approval.

Breeder referral for DOT  listed on our website must be member in good standing living in OK, be appointed by DOT board, and must get local and regional info to make available to AKC as well as know and pass on  info on Dalmatians available in area. Club’s goals and mission should be top priority.

April is also nominating committee time- committee will be formed and will be making nominations for coming year’s board officers soon.

Visitors welcomed- Diane and Bob Koehring and grandson.

Suggestions for items for club—DOT business cards, DOT nametags, DOT Frisbees for next parade. Marielle offered to work on club nametags.

After brags meeting was adjourned.
