Dot meeting Christmas open house December 3, 2009 Thanks to the Dickeys for hosting open house and goodies! Thanks also to Shirley and Mary for chocolate desserts and fudge! President Marcia started meeting at 7:00pm by thanking everyone for the great turnout at the Jenks parade- with 30+ people and about 20 dals we had a great turnout! Also, a big thank- you was extended to all members who helped make the Joplin DOT specialty a success. Joyce and Shirley presented the auction well and the hospitality room was a success. Secretary report- Shirley made motion to accept minutes as published on website, seconded by Mary, and approved. Treasurer report handed out to members present. Doug made motion to accept report as printed, seconded by Mary, and approved. There will be no January, 2010, DOT meeting. New business- Mary Szafranski notified Marcia that Feb. 4, 2010, Dalentines dinner is reserved for Michael V’s restaurant. Melanie made motion that DOT club pay half of each member’s dinner so each member only pays $10 per plate (as club did last year). Motion seconded by Mary, and approved. PLEASE email or notify Secretary Melanie if you and your Dal qualify for a chair this year: if the dog has earned a title in the past year (2009) we need to know to honor you (if member in good standing). If anyone has any suggestions for specialty judges, please notify Melanie –she has agreed to be show chair for Nov. 5, 2010 show (third time’s a charm). Be sure to put on your calendar: April 1-7, 2010, national DCA show in Lawrence KS. Grove Dogshow April 8-11, 2010. Also the DCA national show will be in Tulsa at the Renaissance hotel and grounds in 2012. Hope everyone has a happy safe and blessed holiday season! Meeting adjourned.
